Our Needs Assessment course takes place online on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021.

A Needs Assessment is a systematic way of gathering information on the needs and conditions of your target populations or geographical remit. It is an essential step before the design of an intervention. It can help you identify the gaps and priorities in your work and ensure that your intervention is reaching effective people in a relevant way, from the start. 

The course is part of CDI’s Quality Services, Better Outcomes training series.

Who is it for?

People and organisations working with children, families, and communities who are looking to undertake data collection with a particular target group or area

What will I learn?

At the end of the Needs Assessment short course, you will:

Know about:          The importance of assessing need and relevant methodology;

Understand:           How to plan for and undertake a Needs Assessment;

Be able to:                Identify the appropriate Needs Assessment tools for your work and undertake a Needs Assessment.

The course complements the other courses in our QSBO series – Logic Modelling; Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation; Reflective Practice; Organisational Context and Change Management; Capacity and Competence Building; Leadership; and Evaluation in More Depth. It is an important step before the development of your Logic Model.
