Capacity and Competence Building

Competence and Capacity Building is an overview of the key elements needed to build capacity to deliver quality services including: staff selection; training; supervision; mentoring; coaching and communities of practice.

The course is part of CDI’s Quality Services, Better Outcomes training series.

Who is it for?

This is for managment and leadership in organisations that work with children and families.

What will I learn?

At the end of the Capacity and Competence building course, you will:

Know about:           A range of mechanisms to enhance professional development;

Understand:           The importance of providing feedback;

Be able to:                Develop and implement supports for staff that enhance service delivery.

The course also complements the other courses in our QSBO series – Logic Modelling; Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation; Reflective Practice; Organisational Context and Change Management; Needs Assessment; Leadership; and Evaluation in More Depth.
