The In-Betweeners:
Identifying and quantifying the unmet mental health needs of children and adolescents in Tallaght

Trinity College Dublin.
This report discusses consultation with parents and those working with young people who have mental health needs and are struggling to identify or access an appropriate service. Many of these families are under enormous pressure, feel frustrated, isolated and lost. Often, so too do the services working with them.
The report also quantifies the likely number of young people experiencing different levels of mental health difficulty, from mild anxiety, to significant self harm and suicidal behaviours. A series of recommendations is presented, and the launch will include inputs on next steps to progress these.
