Our Family Fun day takes place in Tallaght library today from 10am-1pm. Unfortunately, the puppet show has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and will not take place today. We apologise for this inconvenience which is out of our control.
We will have lots of other fun activities, such as face painting, Mischa Music, The Book Doctor, STEAM, and more. We hope to see you soon!
Here’s what’s in store:
STEAM Stand 10am—11.15am
Explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths at the STEAM Stand hosted by our friend Vince from the Think Big Space/Creative Hut. Learning has never been so enjoyable!
Mischa Music for Babies and Toddlers 10.20am—11.30am
Join us for a musical adventure with Mischa! Limited spots available, so arrive early for this interactive session that sparks creativity and bonding between parents and children.
Puppet Show with Custard Pie Puppets 11.30am—12.15pm
Prepare for laughter with our unique ‘Punch and Judy’ puppet show. Mr. Punch’s antics and audience participation will keep the whole family entertained.
Visit the Book Doctor 10am—1pm
Is your child a bookworm? The Book Doctor from Children’s Books Ireland will be on hand to prescribe the perfect books based on their interests. Plus, they’ll receive a book passport, a personalised reading guide, and an ‘I’ve been to the Book Doctor’ sticker!
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Sign-Up 10am—1pm
Children under 5 with a D24 address can sign up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library on the spot. Let imagination soar through the magic of books!
Face painting, Library Bingo & Colouring 10am—1pm
Back by popular demand, our face painting, our library bingo and colouring activities promise hours of creative fun!
Pick up Your Bedtime Story!
Tallaght Library is stocking a FREE bedtime storybook for children under the age of 4, which you can pick up on the day! These books are available in English or Irish and serve as a great reminder of the importance of that bedtime story for parents and children.
